We have held the first meeting of the year for the Friends of Hillocks group, and there are some exciting plans ahead!
Over the past couple of years, the group has raised significant funds through events such as cake for break sales, school discos, raffles, ice lolly sales, and the annual summer fair. Thanks to these efforts, Hillocks pupils have enjoyed Christmas gifts, school trips, hoodies, and more.
The group is incredibly thankful for the hard work of its volunteers, but they now face a challenge. As some parents leave when their children move on to secondary school, there is a growing need for new members.
Suzy, one of the group organizers, is calling on parents to consider joining the team. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, enjoy being creative, or just want to lend a hand, Friends of Hillocks could use your help.
Without new volunteers, some events may have to be canceled, which would be disappointing for the children and the school community. If you’re interested, you’re encouraged to reach out to Suzy or speak to a member of the school team.
