We started the Christmas season with Grinch day enjoying painting images of the Grinch, creating Grinch masks, wearing Grinch-themed clothing and watching The Grinch movie. We had a wonderful time bringing in Christmas cheer, alongside some Grinch mischief in school.
The Christmas celebrations continued with our Christmas performances, where each year group performed a Christmas song with a themed dress up. Thank you to everyone who came to watch the children shine on stage. We are all very proud of them.
We also celebrated Christmas jumper day, and everybody looked amazing in their unique outfits.
Some of us took part in incredible nativity performances. It was wonderful to see the hard work in rehearsals pay off. What a wonderful way of retelling the traditional nativity story. Well done to everyone for learning many lines, songs and actions.
We enjoyed Christmas parties which consisted of dancing, musical statues, party games and plenty of delicious food. We had a great time partying. Thank you everyone for making this happen.
We also took part in recording Christmas messages. These messages highlighted what Christmas means to us, who we look forward to celebrating with and what our favourite thing is about Christmas at Hillocks Primary Academy. What a wonderful way to end the term.
