As part of PHSE last term year 5 were tasked with planning and running an event to raise money for charity. After much discussion we decided to hold a bake sale in aid of raising money for John Eastwood Hospice. The charity is very close to our hearts, and we were delighted to show them our support.
We had an amazing time at the bake sale, and we are so thankful to everyone who came and showed their support. We managed to raise an incredible £116.37 for the hospice and we couldn’t be happier.
After the bake sale we made a visit to John Eastwood Hospice to present them with our donation. We had a lovely afternoon talking all about our fundraising efforts and finding out more about the hospice from Lisa the fundraising manger and Neil the nurse.
We are so proud of the determination and passion the children showed for this project, and we cannot wait to take on more fundraising projects in the future.
